Flowers

This 8-part series is cut into linoleum. Based on my abstract flower paintings of 2014 - 2015. Each flower block is cut both in positive and negative relief and printed on hand coloured paper and Chinese rice paper using multiple colours of ink.

Bird

This was cut into linoleum. It is a design for a tattoo. It was printed on hand coloured paper and hand coloured black & white paper in black and white ink.

Flower

This woodcut is that similar to Andy Warhol prints. The original idea was to use multiple coloured prints using 2 or more blocks. The final outcome was printed in one colour on hand-made coloured paper.

Tree 2

This woodcut is part of the "Tree Series" after a limited number of prints (14 in total) the block was damaged. Printed on hand-coloured paper.

2013

Light and Dark Tree

I started with a symmetrical drawing of a tree. My intension was for half of the print to be light and the other half to be dark. I produced several black prints then I experimented with both coloured ink and coloured paper.

Tree Block 1

I started with a drawing of the tree and then reversed the image on a small block of cedar wood. Again I experimented with both coloured ink and coloured paper. As the carved lines in the block became more filled in with the ink the print beacame more abstract.
